Hey sweet friend, it's so nice to meet you.

I'm a destination wedding and landscape photographer based in the Northwest. I am known for my sense of calm, intentionality, and for having an eye for capturing those often missed moments.

Documenting with a journalistic approach, I offer film, super8 and digital photography to capture your moments with genuine authenticity.

I'm Heather, lifelong storyteller, journalist, writer, photographer, artist & explorer. This is my biggest passion & I'm so humbled to get to document your story...

A FEW THINGS WORTH NOTING

Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, one I want to ensure you get to relish every moment of. I don't want you to feel rushed or have a long shot list of photos you feel like you need to take. Instead, I want you to enjoy each part of your day as it unfold -- and I'll be right there alongside you documenting it. Because of this, my wedding packages start at 6 hours minimum coverage and my portrait sessions start at 2 hours minimum coverage.

There was a time when "getting photos" meant scheduling a time slot at JC Penny's photo studio and posing awkwardly into the camera before then choosing your favorite photos. Thankfully, those days are behind us. Instead of asking you to pose throughout your day, causing images to look forced and you to feel awkward, I intentionally document you as you are naturally -- laughing, hugging, living in the moment. And in the end, you'll get an unlimited gallery with all of those photos edited to share, print and cherish for generations.

If you've ever spent time going through old boxes and albums of family photos, you will know the beauty and connection that comes with a photograph. Your wedding day isn't a Vogue photoshoot, but a day to be experienced and lived. Your gallery will be a beacon of your day lived, filled with honest images -- blurry, focused, intentional, joyful, emotional, and everything in-between.

My journalistic documentary style boarders the non-traditional. A mix of capturing the blurry and defined, artful and whimsical, nostalgic and analog. You will find this also shows in my editing style. We will be a great fit if you are a down-to-earth soul who values time, nostalgia, and nature.

My approach to documenting a wedding day starts long before I pick up the camera. I love getting to know you on a deeper, friendship-type level which allows me to know how to tell your story and allows you to be completely comfortable with me. Not only your photographer, but your friend. You can expect email check-ins, phone and zoom calls, questionnaires and from time-to-time a funny Reel I found on Instagram that reminded me of you.
