The first time I ever shot Super 8 was for my family's annual
Fourth of July camping trip. I had just turned 30, and as a gift to myself, I bought a Canon Super 8 videocamera off of eBay and some film from a local film shop. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but I absolutely loved the sound it made as I hit the trigger and the film whirred around. When I got the film back, I was hooked. I knew that even if I never got hired to shoot Super 8 for clients, I would still shoot Super 8 for my family for the rest of my life -- and THAT'S how I got into Super 8.

FILM SERVICES
There is a magic that comes with film that no matter what you do with digital, it just can't be matched. And that's why I love being able to use film for my clients as often as I can. My first film camera was a simple point-and-shoot black Kodak that my Opa bought me one summer when I was in Germany visiting family. From there, I started playing with Polaroid and, in true 90's kid fashion, had a hot pink Polaroid i-Zone.
Film is never a guarantee, but even the blurry, out-of-focus, heavily grained, or too low-light images have a way of telling a part of the story that no other in-focus digital photograph could.
I offer Polaroid and 35mm photography as well as Super 8 videography, all on vintage, well-working cameras, as add-ons and as individual services as well. It's not cheap, film stock and developing aren't something you can just pick up at the Dollar Tree or have done at the Walgreens down the corner anymore. But it is oh so worth it, I promise.

Polaroid coverage is playful, fun, and absolutely timeless. It can be a standalone service, or added to any booked photo session of 2-hours or more, so that we have time to capture all the photos without feeling rushed. Polaroid coverage includes:

This is the only form of videography that I offer. Literally turning your special moments into old school home movies, with storytelling and endless nostalgia seeped in. Each roll of film is roughly 3-minutes long and can be booked as a standalone service, or added to any booked photo session of 2-hours or more (ensuring we have time to capture both photos and video).
