What do you get when you fly out two Oklahoman’s out to the Pacific Northwest at the end of autumn when winter is right on the cusp and you set them up on a 7-mile round-trip trail no one in your group has ever hiked before to get them married at a mountain lake next to nobody has heard about?

When autumn hits Northern Idaho, it’s unlike anything else. The air becomes thick with fireplace smoke and the musky smell of crimson and burnt orange leaves. The Tamarack go ablaze in various hues of yellows, spotting mountainsides with flame and color.

On Ruby Beach in Washington, he got down on one knee and proposed to her. Her shock was the sweetest thing. And once she said yes, and Garrett put the ring on her finger…

In the middle of the Owyhee Desert in Southern Idaho, lays a place with crazy rock formations, endless sagebrush, and a view that is utterly incredible. And it was the perfect please for these two cuties…

All the way from Chicago, this sweet couple drove all the way out to North Idaho to get married on the top of Schweitzer Mountain to say their “I Do’s” with their German Shepherd at their feet, and it was everything and more.
